While conventional top load washers are still the least expensive at the time of purchase, they are the most expensive to run. Front load and HE top load washers are: larger in capacity, better for your clothes and use a fraction of the water that a conventional top load washer uses. Over the lifespan of the washer the front load and HE top load washers are less expensive to run.

It is important to know that front load and HE washers require HE detergent. All detergent manufactures make HE detergent today as we are selling more washers today that require it than washers that don't. The need for HE detergent is that it is more concentrated, allowing for the detergent to have the same cleaning power in a fraction of the water usage.
